To the south of the Jebel Sagho, east of Ouarzazate, lie the great open spaces leading to the vast Sahara. You are in the heart of the Moroccan desert. Dunes crowd up to sun-blackened plateaux or accompany the wadis snaking their way to the horizon. Adobe brick villages cluster around date palm groves in the recesses of the wadi valleys.
We have settled this nomad camp in this land which so moved the desert discoverers of the past century. In the bottom of a valley where nomads formerly camped, you are offered comfort without ostentatious luxury, so that the desert itself remains your most important impression during your stay.
This welcoming accommodation off the main tourist routes will surprise both the newcomer and the experienced traveller well familiar with the desert.
Access
40 minutes from Tazzarine, the camp is reached by four-wheel drive. It is about four hours from Ouarzazate by road and five hours from Zagora by trails.

Life in the Desert's Camp
You are in the heart of the Moroccan desert, surrounded by the camp's greatly varied landscapes. An erg a few hundred yards away is an ever-present invitation to you to come for a long walk, to immerse yourself in the experience of the sand dunes.
Brief transfers made by four-wheel drive make it possible to discover villages, rock carvings and small oasis gardens.
Above all, this is a haven of peace, where time passes soothingly. Great quantities of green tea, silence and open horizons are there to be savoured as much as you wish!
Services
The elegantly tasteful camp consists of 10 very well arranged tents, including 3 “suite†tents; these are caidal tents made of pure cotton with a dominantly green and red lining.
The tents all have traditional touareg beds, but with mattresses, complete bed linens, pillows, quilts and mosquito nettings. A hanging behind your bed partitions off a mirror and a small piece of furniture for your toilette, which includes a copper basin and a ewer of water.
Meals are taken in a great caidal tent of 100 m2, which also serves as a lounge. Candles and lanterns provide lighting in the individual tents, as the electrical system is reserved for the camp's more general operational needs.
There are 3 shower tents with duckboard flooring, water reservoirs and wash basins, the sanitary facilities being included in the shower tent installations.
