This "nomad camp" is an interesting and unique alternative to the usual accommodation offered in southern Morocco's tourist centres. Located between two date palm groves in the valley of the Izerki wadi, halfway between the Skoura and Ouarzazate oasis gardens, guests can immerse themselves in the experience of a southern Atlas Mountain valley while having the guarantee of hotel services.
After crossing a black-rock plateau, guests are completely astonished on arriving in this camp – for what could be more surprising than to find accommodation with this level of service in such an isolated location?
The space is vast yet welcoming, set off with carpets, discreet lighting and wood fires at night, all offered together with attentive service. Sheltered in an arbour, comfortably settled on carpets and cushions, you will gaze at the snowy Atlas Mountain peaks on the horizon, while the Casbah silhouettes down in the valley will call you to come explore…or to just stay still and dream.
Access
The camp is 30 minutes by car from Ouarzazate Airport. You may either give us a precise place to pick you up in Ouarzazate (often just where guests get off the plane) and take you to the camp, or we can give you all the information necessary for you to reach the camp easily on your own.

Life in the Oasis Camp
This camp has two advantages. Lost in an oasis garden, it is the ideal departure point for visiting Ouarzazate and its surrounding area. Moreover, settled as it is in an oasis, and therefore in a place of life, it allows you an authentic approach to Berber life, in a valley still untouched by tourism. It is easy to take wonderful walks to the very near Casbahs and gardens. We can also make mountain bikes available to you and recommend itineraries appropriate to your level.
We can also organize horseback excursions for you, on your simply making a reservation.
A stay of several days is therefore recommended to fully enjoy both the setting and the way of life.
Services
The camp consists of ten tents spaced well away from each other, a restaurant in a Berber tent and a comfortable library and lounge.
Each guestroom-tent is a spacious nomad tent (kaima) of about 25 m², both comfortable and well equipped: carpets, armchairs, clothes racks with shelving, storage chests... and a proper double bed off the ground.
The tents are completely furnished with local traditional materials. The decor is sober, consisting of white hangings contrasting with the earth toned, richly woven tents. Two of them come with a bathroom with a shower and hot water.
The dining room is comfortable as well, with quality tablecloths and dinner services. The wait staff is uniformed, while the food is refined and typically Moroccan.
Chemical toilets are located near the tents.
A staff of eight, including two chefs and a guide, ensure the camp's smooth operation.
